Product details

The Pentair 155765 is the pump to filter hose assembly for the Sta-Rite Optiflo. It is the genuine part, supplied made up and ready to fit in place of the original.

What it does

On an aboveground system the pump and the filter sit side by side and a short hose assembly carries water from one to the other. That hose takes the full discharge pressure of the pump every time the system runs, and it lives outdoors in sun and cold. Over the seasons it hardens, then splits or weeps at the ends.

What a tired hose looks like

A wet spot under the pad that comes back after every tightening, or a pump that will not hold prime although the lid and the drain plugs are sound. Both point at the hose. Replacing the assembly puts the connection back to the way the system left the factory. While the old one is off, check the sealing o-rings at the connections; they are ordered separately and are worth changing at the same time.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What does this hose assembly do?
It is the connection between the Optiflo pump and the filter, so water leaving the pump reaches the filter inlet.
Is it a genuine Pentair part?
Yes. It is Pentair part number 155765, sold under the Sta-Rite Optiflo line.
What is included?
The listing covers the hose assembly itself. If the quick connect o-rings on your system are flattened or cracked, order those at the same time so the new hose seals.
How do I know the hose is the problem?
Look for drips at either end while the pump runs, a hose that has gone hard or split, or a pump that keeps losing prime with no other leak to explain it.
