Product details
This is a Hayward pivot style sand filter lateral, listed at 7-3/16 in. long.
What it does
Laterals sit at the bottom of a sand filter tank, arranged around the hub. Every slot in them is narrow enough to hold the sand back while letting filtered water through to the outlet. A pivot style lateral folds in line with the standpipe so it can pass through the tank opening, then swings out into place once it is inside.
Before you order
Our record for this part carries the description and the length but not a filter model, so measure the lateral you are replacing and compare the length and thread before ordering. With the sand out and the underdrain exposed, check every lateral rather than just the one that failed, since they have all seen the same service.
