Product details

Pentair 357070S is the replacement motor for the EQK1000 commercial pool pump. It is a 10 HP single speed three phase motor rated for 208-230V or 460V service.

What you are buying

This is the motor on its own. The pump housing, impeller, diffuser and seal stay with the pump you already have, so plan on inspecting those while the motor is off. The mechanical shaft seal in particular has spent its life running on the old shaft, and it is standard practice to fit a new one during a motor change rather than reuse it.

Installation

A commercial three phase motor is not a homeowner swap. Wiring, rotation check and overload settings belong with a licensed electrician or a commercial pool service company, and getting rotation backwards on a pump this size will cost you flow immediately.

Is this the whole pump or just the motor?
The motor only. The wet end, seal and hardware stay with your existing pump.
What voltage does it run on?
It is rated 208-230/460V three phase. An electrician sets it up for the service you have.
Will it work on single phase power?
No. This is a three phase motor, so it needs three phase service.
Should I change the shaft seal at the same time?
Yes. Any time the motor comes off a pump of this size, the seal is the part that has been running against it, and fitting a new one while the pump is open avoids a second teardown.
