The Waterway 311-1220 is the two inch volute face plate for Waterway Executive pumps. It is the genuine Waterway part.
What it does
The face plate closes the front of the volute and forms the suction side passage into the impeller. It has to be flat and sealed. When one cracks, warps from a dry run, or has its sealing face damaged, the pump pulls air instead of water and loses prime, or simply moves less than it should.
Fitment
This is the two inch version, listed for the Executive 48 frame and 56 frame pumps. Waterway builds the wet end in more than one port size, so confirm the size on your pump rather than going by the model name alone. Replace the seal between the plate and the volute at the same time; a new plate against a flattened old seal will still leak.
