Product details
The Pentair 39501200 is the pot to volute gasket for the Ultra-Flow pool and spa pump, measuring 3.25 inches square. Pentair also lists it against the American Products Americana pumps.
What it seals
This gasket sits between the strainer pot and the volute. That joint is on the suction side of the pump, which changes how a failure shows up: instead of water on the pad, you get air drawn into the pump. A basket that never fills properly, a pump that will not hold prime, or bubbles at the returns all point back to a suction side seal.
Change it while you are in there
Gaskets take a permanent set against the surfaces they have been clamped to for years. Once the pump has been split, the old one has effectively been used up, and reusing it usually means doing the whole job again in a few weeks.
