Product details

The Pentair IntelliFlo VS+SVRS, part 011057, is a variable speed pool pump with the safety vacuum release system built in. It is a 3.2 kW, 3 HP max motor on 230V with 2 inch plumbing connections.

What SVRS adds

The safety vacuum release system watches for a suction blockage and stops the pump if it finds one. Because it is integrated, there is no separate device to wire, mount and maintain alongside the pump.

Why variable speed

A pool needs full flow only for a short part of the day, for vacuuming, heating or running a feature. The rest of the time it needs turnover, which a low speed handles. Power draw drops far faster than speed does, so the running cost of a pump on a low turnover speed is a fraction of the same pump at full speed.

Installation

It is wired for 230V and plumbed in 2 inch. Confirm the supply and the pipe size at the pad before ordering, since neither is trivial to change afterwards.
