This is a Pentair seal plate for WhisperFlo pool pumps. It is the plate that separates the motor from the wet end: the motor bolts to it, the shaft passes through it, and the mechanical shaft seal rides in it.

Match it to your pump

WhisperFlo is a range rather than a single pump, and the housings are not all the same. Check the model and serial tag on your pump and compare the plate to the one you are taking off before you commit to the repair.

Do it with the shaft seal

A seal plate is normally replaced at the same time as the mechanical shaft seal. The two work together, the pump has to come apart the same way for either of them, and a plate usually gets replaced because a seal failed and put water where it did not belong.
