Product details

The Pentair 154662 is the brass bleeder valve that sits on top of a sand filter tank. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What it does

Air collects in the top of a filter tank, most obviously after the filter has been opened for a clean or after the system has been drained. The bleeder is the valve you open to let that air out so the tank fills with water and the pressure gauge gives a reading you can trust. Because it is opened on every service, it is one of the first fittings on the tank to seize, strip or weep, and brass is what makes it worth replacing rather than working around.
