Product details

The Hayward SPX3207Z1PE is the genuine power end for the .75 HP TriStar pump. It is the drive end of the pump, supplied as an assembly.

What a power end covers

The power end is everything behind the strainer housing. Buying it as a unit means the parts that wear together are replaced together, instead of chasing one failure after another through a pump that has already done its years.

Why it is often the right repair

On a pad where the pump has been plumbed in and glued for a decade, the housing is frequently still perfectly good while the drive end is finished. Replacing the power end leaves the housing, the unions and the pipework untouched, which turns a re-plumbing job into a straightforward swap.

Before you order

Power ends are specific to the horsepower of the pump. Read the label on your TriStar and confirm .75 HP and the part number SPX3207Z1PE.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Is this a complete pump?
No. It is the power end, the drive end of the pump. The strainer housing, the cover and the plumbing connections are not included and stay with your existing pump.
Which pump does it fit?
The Hayward TriStar, in the .75 horsepower size.
Can I use a different horsepower power end?
Not safely. The power end is matched to the horsepower rating, so use the number that belongs to your pump, SPX3207Z1PE for .75 HP.
Why buy a power end instead of a whole pump?
Cost and labor. If the housing is sound and the pipework is glued in place, replacing just the power end means you are not cutting and re-plumbing the pad.
