Quick overview
- Genuine Hayward Factory impeller SPX2700C, not an aftermarket copy.
- Sized .75 HP Matched to the .75 horsepower version of the pump, so horsepower has to match.
- Max-Flo II Listed for the Hayward Max-Flo II pump.
- Plastic construction The impeller is molded plastic, as Hayward built it.
- Restores flow A worn or blocked impeller shows up as weak returns and poor skimming long before the pump quits.
- Serviceable part The impeller unthreads from the motor shaft, so it is replaceable without changing the whole wet end.

Product details
The Hayward SPX2700C is the .75 HP impeller for the Max-Flo II pump. It is the genuine Hayward part, molded in plastic like the original.
What the impeller does
The impeller is the spinning part that actually moves the water. It threads onto the motor shaft and throws water out through the volute to the returns. Because it sits behind the strainer basket, anything small enough to slip past the basket ends up packed into its vanes.
Signs it needs replacing
Weak returns, a pool that skims slowly and a pump that still primes but pushes very little water all point at the impeller. Sometimes it is simply blocked and can be cleared. If the vanes are worn thin or broken, the impeller has to come out. Note that impellers are sized to the motor, so a .75 HP impeller belongs on a .75 HP pump.
