Hayward OEM O-Ring, 2-1/2"

The Hayward SX220Z2 is a 2-1/2 in. inside diameter o-ring with a 3/16 in. cross section. Hayward uses the same ring in two places: as the diffuser o-ring on Max-Flo II and Max-Flo XL pumps, and as the bulkhead o-ring on SwimClear cartridge filters and Pro-Grid DE filters.

On the pump

The diffuser o-ring seals the diffuser to the seal plate. When it flattens or cracks, water recirculates inside the wet end instead of being pushed to the filter, and the symptoms are slow priming, weak flow and a pump that never quite fills the strainer lid.

On the filter

As a bulkhead o-ring it seals the fitting where the plumbing passes through the tank. It covers the SwimClear C2020, C2025, C3020, C3025, C4020, C4025, C5020, C5025, C5520 and C7000, the C2030 through C7030 series, and the Pro-Grid DE2420, DE3620, DE4820, DE6020 and DE7220.

Before you order

Measure the old ring. 2-1/2 in. across the inside and 3/16 in. thick is this part. Fit it with a light film of silicone o-ring lubricant.
