The Hayward SPX2800M is the strainer basket for Max-Flo SP10800X and SP2800X series pumps. It is the genuine Hayward part in the new style pattern.
Why the basket matters
Everything the skimmer misses arrives at the pump trap, and the basket is the last thing standing between that debris and the impeller. Once a basket cracks, the pieces it was holding go straight through, and the crack itself usually widens until the basket collapses and chokes the suction.
