Product details

The Hayward SPX2800M is the strainer basket for Max-Flo SP10800X and SP2800X series pumps. It is the genuine Hayward part in the new style pattern.

Why the basket matters

Everything the skimmer misses arrives at the pump trap, and the basket is the last thing standing between that debris and the impeller. Once a basket cracks, the pieces it was holding go straight through, and the crack itself usually widens until the basket collapses and chokes the suction.

Check the style

Max-Flo baskets changed pattern partway through the run of the pump. SPX2800M is the new style. Pull your old basket out and compare the shape and the height before ordering so you fit the right one.

What does new style mean?
Hayward changed the basket design during the life of the Max-Flo. SPX2800M is the later version, so compare it with the basket currently in your trap before you order.
