Product details

The Hayward SPX2605C is the genuine impeller for 1/2 horsepower full rate and 3/4 horsepower max rate pumps. Hayward rates the same hydraulic size two ways, which is why one part covers both descriptions.

Confirming the right part

The surest check is the stamp. SP2605-C is molded into the front face of the impeller, so pull the old one and read it rather than working backwards from the horsepower printed on a pump label that may predate a motor swap.

Where it fits

It serves the Super Pump family in the SP1600, SP1600X, SP2600 and SP2600X models, and the Super II family in SP3000 and SP3000X, including the Heldor EZ-Flo build.

What a worn impeller costs you

Vanes thin out with years of grit passing through them and the passages pack with hair and leaf fiber. The motor still draws its current and the pump still sounds normal, but head drops off, returns go soft and a pressure or suction cleaner starts stalling. Because the mechanical seal has to come off to reach the impeller, plan on a new seal assembly in the same visit.

Is this for a 1/2 HP or a 3/4 HP pump?
Both, depending on how the pump is rated. It is the 1/2 horsepower full rate impeller and the 3/4 horsepower max rate impeller, which are the same part.
How do I confirm it matches my old impeller?
Take the old one out and look at the front face. The correct part carries SP2605-C stamped into it.
Which pumps does it go in?
Hayward Super Pump models SP1600, SP1600X, SP2600 and SP2600X, and Super II models SP3000 and SP3000X, including the Heldor EZ-Flo version.
