Product details

SPX3100AAZ is the Hayward Super II pump housing, the new style threaded version, supplied with drain plugs. It is the strainer pot and body the basket sits in and the plumbing threads into.

When the housing is the part you need

A pump housing is not usually a wear item. It gets replaced when it cracks, and the two common causes are water left in the pot through a freeze and a fitting threaded in too hard. Either one leaves the pump losing prime or leaking at a place no o-ring will fix.

Check the style

Hayward changed the Super II housing partway through the pump run. This is the later threaded housing, and it is listed with the Super II SP3000, SP3000X and Heldor EZ-Flo parts. Compare it against what is on your pump before ordering.

The basket, the strainer cover and its lid are separate Hayward parts and are not included with the housing.
