The Hayward SPX2700UNKIT is the union connector kit for the Max-Flo pump family, supplied with two nuts, the connectors and the gaskets. It is the genuine Hayward part.

What unions do

Unions are the threaded collars that join a pump to the pool plumbing. They exist so the pump can be taken out for service without cutting pipe, which means they are opened and closed far more often than any other joint in the system, and they are where drips appear first.

Fit and contents

The kit is listed for the Hayward MaxFlo VS variable speed pump, the Max-Flo XL SP2300X and the Max-Flo II SP2700X. Because it carries two of everything, both the suction and the return connection are renewed in one go rather than leaving an old gasket on the side that has not failed yet.
