What a worn impeller looks like
Flow falls off gradually, so it rarely announces itself. The usual sequence is a clean pump basket, a clean filter, normal water level, and still less return pressure and weaker suction than the pool used to have. Debris packed hard into the vanes causes it, and so does simple wear that thins the vane edges over years of running.
Getting the rating right
Impellers are matched to the pump rating, not just to the pump family. This one covers the 2 HP max rated and 1-1/2 HP full rated Super II. Check the label on your motor against those figures before ordering, since fitting the wrong impeller loads the motor incorrectly.
